Art Historian

Nace en Santiago de Chile en 1963.
Estudia Diseño en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Trabaja como empresaria y diseñadora y realiza asesorías en el campo del diseño textil.
En 2005 ingresa al taller Huara Huara. Trabaja en gres y en forma paralela, realiza estudios teóricos en cerámica y esmaltes. Así mismo, participa de seminarios dictados por ceramistas de gran trayectoria internacional.
Años más tarde, inicia su propio taller cerámico, donde trabaja principalmente en escultura en gres. Sus obras se producen en horno a gas a 1300º, en atmósfera reductora. Los engobes y esmaltes utilizados en sus piezas han sido ideados y elaborados por ella, luego de un proceso continuo de investigación.
Su trabajo ha sido exhibido en galerías y museos de Chile, Francia y Alemania, obteniendo varios premios y excelentes críticas de arte. Sus obras forman parte de colecciones de arte privadas en Chile y en Europa y de la colección permanente del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Santiago de Chile.
En 2017, es invitada a formar parte de la Academia Internacional de Cerámica (IAC), tras haber logrado una sobresaliente calidad en este arte.

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1963.
Studied Design at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Experienced entrepreneur, clothing designer and provider of specialist consultancy services in textile design.
In 2005, gained entrance into the Huara Huara Ceramics Studio beginning what is now a core speciality in clay-works, whilst continuing with theoretical studies in ceramics and glazing. Since then, she participed in differents seminars.
Years later, she founded her own pottery workshop, working principally in stoneware sculpture. Her ceramic work is produced in a gas kiln (1300º), with reduction fire.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Chile, France and Germany, obtaining multiple awards and excellent artistic critical acclaim. Her works are part of private collections in Chile and Europe, including a permanent display in the National Fine Arts Museum of Santiago de Chile.
Since 2017, became a member of the International Academy of Ceramics. To be in the IAC, signifies the highest quality of excellence and achievement in the ceramic arts.
